In March, I led the Vasui SALT course on the island of Bougainville. In preparation for the course, I had asked the translators, Roman and Carolyn Hostetler, how many SALT course books to print. Roman suggested 25; however, by the time I received his message from the village, I had already told the print shop to print 65 copies. I didn’t know for sure what to do with all the extra books; however, since the books were in the Vasui language, I really couldn’t use them anywhere else, so I took all of them to the island. The course started on March 6, and to our surprise 57 participants attended. Four different churches in the area were well represented at the course and we used all the books!
